From Years of Pain to a New Beginning

Living with hemophilia often means facing challenges that most people never experience. Repeated bleeding into the joints can slowly damage cartilage and bones, causing severe pain and making movement increasingly difficult. For Mr. Vivek Raokar, these challenges became a part of everyday life.

Over the years, both of his knees were badly affected by repeated bleeding episodes. Walking became painful, daily activities became difficult, and his quality of life continued to decline. Like many people with hemophilia, he wondered whether he would ever be able to walk comfortably again.

After careful medical evaluation, the decision was made to perform total knee replacement surgery on both knees. Because patients with hemophilia require special bleeding management, every step of the procedure had to be planned with great care.

The surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Amol Kadu, while Dr. Anju Kadu carefully managed the hemophilia treatment, ensuring clotting factors were available throughout the surgical process. Their experience and teamwork made this complex surgery possible.

Following the operation, Mr. Vivek began an intensive rehabilitation program under the guidance of Dr. Abhinav Phadnis. With regular physiotherapy, determination, and continuous medical support, his recovery has been excellent.

Today, Mr. Vivek is able to walk without support and is steadily returning to a normal and active life. His journey is a powerful example of how expert medical care, timely treatment, and dedicated rehabilitation can transform the lives of people living with hemophilia.
